Re- Interpretation
The overall idea of the project is to look at the natural environment in ways that make different, conduct experiments on a regular basis, see inanimate objects as alive, comprehend observations. The process aims to understand, appreciate and keenly observe the movements, textures, patterns and colors from the life to bring the tranquility or the brutality of natural environment to spaces and products around us.
Motif development
Derived and inspired from the orchids and motifs were developed based on the zoomed in parts and the interpretation of the orchids.
These motifs are screen printed, batik and shibori in combination with archived motifs on the final pillow.
